I grew up surrounded by the rolling green Appalachian hills of Somerset, Kentucky; a place I affectionately refer to as “the hub of the universe”. It is magical there, everything is full of mystery and life. As a lifelong homeschool student, I paved my own path through adolescence. I played in the dirt, organized punk shows, did yoga, read an age appropriate amount of Chomsky, made church ladies uncomfortable, learned folk dancing, and generally got weird with it. In my teens, I had the pleasure of being a founding member of Flashback Theater Co., a professional theatre company changing the face of our community through the arts.

My path changed forever when I had the immense privilege of spending three summers at Interlochen Arts Camp. Coming from a rural background, I wasn’t sure where I would fit in amongst such talented campers from all over the world. I was blessed to be wholly embraced by my teachers and peers. Interlochen expanded my worldview, and challenged me to pursue my dreams to the highest degree. In 2018, I received the Maddy Summer Artist Award for Repertory Theatre.

After graduating high school, I moved to Illinois to pursue my BFA in Acting at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I showed up with an insatiable appetite to learn everything I possibly could. UIUC challenged me to try everything once; I studied Chekhov, Shakespeare, Clown, Musical Theatre, Acting for the Camera, Movement, Stage Combat, Voice, Theatre History, and New Play Dramaturgy. I performed on stages large and small, always striving to suck the marrow from the bones of each project. At graduation, I was awarded the Samuel L. Stickler Faculty Players Award.
Through my adventures, I discovered new dimensions of myself: though I had always thought of myself as a rigorous academic type, I discovered two things could be true. I could also be a rockstar who loves to have fun as the president of the school’s (unofficial) theatre fraternity, AKT. My professors challenged me to show up in a room as more than just a good student, but as a whole artist. To crack my shell, and see who was waiting to come out. In my junior year, I came out as non-binary.

In the fall of 2023, I moved to Chicago, Illinois with my beautiful girlfriend Nona. We have a sun-filled apartment, and two precious kittens named Bertolt and Fefu. I am proudly represented by my amazing manager, Mike Wilson of Wilson Management. Since launching my professional career, I’ve had the joy of working on projects like Milwaukee Rep’s trans-positive Little Women, Black Button Eyes Production’s gothic fantasy A Shadow Bright and Burning, and City Lit’s retro-futurist screwball comedy take on R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots). I am also an ensemble member of Funhaus, a sketch show my best friends and I produce each month. In 2025, I launched my own small business, Brightspot Media, doing digital marketing for businesses large and small.
I can’t wait to see what’s next for me in my performance career. I firmly believe the theatre is a space to experience a life less ordinary; where artists push the bounds of reality to create the magic that reshapes our world. My work is that of an explorer, and I attack every project with voracious curiosity, attention to detail, eccentric humor, and whole-hearted hope.
